Techtelligence is Today Digital’s market-intelligence platform, designed to turn first-party editorial data, behavioural signals, and expert insights into practical intelligence for technology buyers and vendors.

The platform underpins UC Today, CX Today, and Today Digital’s commercial research products—powering insight reports, buyer intelligence, vendor analysis, and data-led content. As a Research Executive, you’ll take a more senior role in shaping, analysing, and delivering high-value research outputs.

Role Overview

The Research Executive plays a hands-on, insight-led role across Techtelligence research programmes. You will lead defined research workstreams, analyse market and audience data, and translate complex findings into clear, commercial-grade insights.

This role suits someone with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in research, insights, analytics, or market intelligence, who is comfortable working with data, interpreting trends, and collaborating with editorial, marketing, and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Market Analysis

  • Lead desk research across B2B technology markets, including customer experience (CX), employee experience (EX), UC, AI, cloud, and digital workplace.
  • Analyse analyst reports, vendor positioning, survey results, and proprietary datasets to identify market trends and signals.
  • Track competitive activity, vendor announcements, and technology shifts, turning observations into structured insights.
  • Produce research briefs, trend analyses, and insight summaries for internal and client-facing use.

Data Analysis & Insight Development

  • Analyse engagement and intent data from GA4, WordPress, and internal platforms.
  • Identify meaningful patterns in audience behaviour, content affinity, and buyer interest.
  • Translate raw data into insight narratives, charts, and executive-level summaries.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of buyer personas, market segments, and intelligence frameworks.

Content & Research Output Delivery

  • Write data-led insight sections for reports, whitepapers, blog posts, and intelligence briefings.
  • Support the creation of surveys, questionnaires, and insight-led content programmes.
  • Review and quality-check research outputs to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with Editorial to ensure insights are aligned with audience needs and editorial standards.

Project & Stakeholder Support

  • Own specific research projects or workstreams from briefing through to delivery.
  • Coordinate with Product, Editorial, Marketing, and Commercial teams to align research outputs with business goals.
  • Support timelines, milestones, and internal reporting for research initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas for new research themes, reports, and data products.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a research, insights, analytics, market intelligence, or data-driven content role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with experience summarising complex topics clearly and confidently.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets, dashboards, and basic analytics platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrable interest in enterprise technology, digital transformation, and B2B markets.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, WordPress, or similar tools.
  • Experience producing structured research deliverables (reports, insight briefs, whitepapers).
  • Background in market research, journalism, business analysis, marketing, or data.
  • Exposure to CX, EX, AI, UC, SaaS, or enterprise technology sectors.
