Today, we’re introducing you to our Customer Success Manager, Alice Wrigley.
Alice grew up in a small town called Accrington, in the North of England. She believes in the nourishing power of great wine, amazing food, and the occasional luxury spa day. When she’s not working with us at Today Digital, Alice likes to keep fit at the gym, explore the countryside with her dog, Bella, and travel around the world.

Q: Who’s your favorite musician or band?
A: I love all types of music, and listen to it all day while I’m working! I’m a huge fan of Celine Dion and went to see her in Vegas!
Q: Do you have any talents/ interests outside of work?
A: I’m my friend group’s ‘coordinator’ – I plan every social event, holiday, and any form of booking. I like to lead projects, of any kind!
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: Anything Italian.
Q: Where’s your top vacation destination?
A: I visit Cornwall twice a year and have been going every year since I can remember!
Q: Do you have any pets?
A: I have a cocker spaniel called Bella
Q: What’s your favorite movie or television show?
A: Hard choice between Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter!
Q: Who’s your role model?
A: My Dad…he taught me that you have to work hard to live the life you want. And to work to live, not live to work! He’s awesome
Q: If you were a superhero, what would your super power be?
A: I’d stay young and live in my 30’s forever
Q: Tell us about the most memorable moment you’ve had with Today Digital
A: The highlight of my calendar every year is the bi-annual trips we take to various locations around the world. I loved the team trip to Wales, where we went on the fastest seated zip line in the world!

Q: What is your current role at Today Digital? What does a typical day at work look like for you?
A: I’m the “Head of Customer Success” at Today Digital. I manage most of our customer campaigns, making sure our clients get the great results they want. My role involves working hand-in-hand with most of the incredible teams and people within Today Digital, from Editorial, to Marketing. I’ve been working with Today Digital now for four years, which is incredible to think! The time has flown by!
A typical day usually starts with sorting through a swamp of emails and inquiries. I’ll start by sorting through those messages, and I’ll keep a close eye on my inbox throughout the day. I like making sure our clients always receive prompt responses.
I also spend a lot of time meeting with clients, and collaborating with team members, ensuring campaigns are running smoothly, and everyone has the guidance they need.
Q: What inspired you to pursue a career in your current field, and how did you start your journey with Today Digital?
A: Ultimately, I’m a people person! I love connecting with others, and I’ve always been drawn towards roles that allow me to interact with as many people as possible. That means I’ve spent a lot of time in customer service, as well as roles that require me to manage and lead teams.
Before I started my career with Today Digital, I was a Chief Operating Officer for a background screening company. In that role, I was leading a team of around 10-15 people, and managing day to day operations. Working with Today Digital has helped me to build on my skillset, and spend more time working with a range of different types of people.
Q: What do you think about Today Digital’s company culture, what do you love, and what do you find challenging?
A: Today Digital is a completely remote business, which is a new experience for me. In a remote landscape, you typically only speak to colleagues when it’s necessary. On the other hand, in a traditional office environment, you’re constantly seeing people face-to-face.
I love the freedom that remote work offers, but it can be difficult to really build strong connections with others on a remote basis. I feel it’s important to make a conscious effort to speak to your colleagues as often as possible.
I love that Today Digital is a very task-driven company. Everyone is clear on their goals, responsibilities, the areas they “own” and what’s expected of them. It’s a busy and fast-paced environment, where everyone works together and shares responsibility.
Q: What goals (Personal or Professional) do you think you’ve achieved working with Today Digital?
A: Before I started my role here, I had only ever worked for one company. I loved that job, but I really wanted to broaden my horizons, and explore customer service opportunities in a different industry. Working with Today Digital has given me an opportunity to cultivate new skills, and learn all about marketing, demand generation, lead generation and the worlds of UC, CX, and XR tech.
On a personal level, working at Today Digital allows me to live the life I want. Working 4 days a week in particular means I have a longer weekend to do all the things I enjoy.
I love to travel, so I also enjoy working remotely from other places outside of my home.
Q: Looking back at your time with Today Digital, what is one thing you wish you knew when you started?
A: People often ask me: “Don’t you get bored when you’re working from home all the time?” Today Digital started embracing remote work long before a lot of other companies – and working from home is still something a lot of people can’t get their head around.
For me, the answer is “Definitely not”. I always have a lot to do each day, and the company is always pursuing new goals. We’re never sitting still or twiddling out thumbs in front of a desk. Working here, the days seem to fly by, and they always end with a great sense of accomplishment.
Plus, I get the chance to walk my dog on my lunch break – most office workers can’t say that!
