Overview 

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Content Marketing Executive to join our growing team at Today Digital. Based in our Manchester office, you will play a key role in driving engagement with our content across digital channels. You’ll be working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where you’ll help ensure our content and campaigns reach and resonate with our target audiences. 

This is an ideal role for a recent graduate looking to kickstart a career in content and digital marketing with hands-on experience, structured onboarding, and ongoing development. 

Key Responsibilities 

Social Media Management: 

Manage and post across Today Digital’s social media platforms maintaining brand voice and consistency. 

Monitor engagement metrics and community interactions, refining tactics as needed. 

Content Amplification: 

Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure published content is promoted effectively across relevant channels and repurposed for maximum reach. 

Email Marketing & Newsletter Delivery: 

Lead the planning, curation, and scheduling of weekly newsletters for our publications using HubSpot. 

Craft and send engaging Beehiiv community newsletters, ensuring they deliver value and loyalty among our readers through high value, relevant and curated content. 

Campaign & Project Support: 

Support high-visibility campaigns (e.g., awards, events, special features) through content creation, promotion strategies, and cross-platform coordination. 

SEO & Web Publishing: 

Upload and optimize content on WordPress for SEO performance and reader accessibility. 

Write SEO-friendly headlines, meta descriptions, and manage internal linking strategies. 

Visual Content Creation: 

Design compelling featured images and graphics to accompany content using tools like Canva, Photoshop, or similar. 

Bring our content to life visually and maintain consistent brand style. 

Events Page & Content Management 

Manage and update dedicated events pages on our websites, ensuring they are current, compelling, and SEO-optimized. 

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely publishing of event-related assets 

Performance Tracking & Reporting: 

Use analytics tools to track content performance across email, web, and social channels. 

Compile regular reports to identify successes and inform future strategies. 

Cross-Team Collaboration & Flexibility 

As a fast-moving, scale-up marketing solutions business, we value adaptability. You may be asked to get involved in new projects, team initiatives, or cross-functional tasks that fall outside your day-to-day responsibilities. We’re looking for someone who’s open to learning and growing with the business.

  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital publishing tools. 
  • Enthusiasm for learning and applying marketing technologies (e.g., HubSpot, Beehiiv, WordPress, SEO tools). 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • A creative mindset and eagerness to experiment with new formats and ideas.
