Role Overview

Today Digital is seeking a data-driven, hands-on Growth Marketing Manager to lead and expand our email marketing strategy. You will be responsible for developing and executing campaigns that activate leads, nurture audiences, and drive measurable engagement across our ideal customer profiles.

You’ll work closely with the client campaign team to drive high-quality engagement with customer content and lead generation assets. You’ll also support internal marketing initiatives—such as awards programmes—by applying email tactics that reach and convert key personas across the industry.

Key Responsibilities

Email Operations Management

  • Take full ownership of email marketing systems and workflows using CRM, newsletter, and outreach tools.
  • Oversee campaign scheduling, deliverability, and subscriber hygiene to ensure smooth execution across both client-facing and internal initiatives.

Activation Campaigns

  • Design and deploy cold-email campaigns via compliant outbound tools to engage, warm, and convert prospects.
  • Set up scalable lead activation workflows aligned to business goals and ICPs.

Nurture & Segmentation Strategy

  • Build and manage multi-stage email sequences tailored to key personas.
  • Manage segmentation and enrichment of audience data to enhance targeting and performance.

Campaign Collaboration & Traffic Generation

  • Work closely with client campaign teams to drive engagement to gated reports, webinars, and lead assets.
  • Use targeted email outreach to boost participation in internal campaigns such as awards and events.

Newsletter Strategy & Community Growth

  • Develop acquisition and engagement strategies for themed email newsletters.
  • Grow and nurture audience communities through strategic, value-led content delivery.

Data Compliance & Performance Monitoring

  • Ensure all email activity adheres to GDPR, CAN‑SPAM, and global privacy standards.
  • Use UTM tagging, analytics, and dashboards to measure open, click, and conversion rates—and refine tactics based on insights.

Continuous Optimization

  • Regularly test and iterate on campaign elements like subject lines, formats, personalization, and timing to improve KPIs.
  • Implement re‑engagement and sunset strategies to maintain list health and maximize retention.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Flexibility

As a fast-moving, scale-up marketing solutions business, we value adaptability. You may be asked to get involved in new projects, team initiatives, or cross-functional tasks that fall outside your day-to-day responsibilities. We’re looking for someone who’s open to learning and growing with the business.

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistent campaign performance across both external and internal marketing initiatives.
  • Growth in segmented, engaged, and opted-in audiences aligned to our ICPs and core focus areas.
  • Improved delivery of first-party data with verified engagement, reducing cost per lead and increasing ROI.
  • Strong contribution to customer campaign performance, helping meet and exceed engagement and lead benchmarks.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of B2B email or growth marketing experience, ideally within digital publishing, media, or lead generation.
  • Proven experience managing email campaigns using CRM, newsletter, and cold outreach platforms.
  • Confident in building outbound workflows that align with data privacy and compliance standards.
  • Comfortable working with segmented datasets and implementing persona-driven targeting.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with content, campaign, and performance marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive traffic to gated content, events, newsletters, and conversion points.
  • Metrics-focused mindset with experience using analytics and tracking tools to measure ROI.
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to craft compelling campaign messaging.
  • Familiarity with email automation, personalisation, and re-engagement strategies.
  • Solid understanding of GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and global email compliance standards.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of inbox deliverability best practices and cold email warm-up techniques.
  • Experience supporting internal initiatives such as awards or branded campaigns.
  • Interest in the B2B technology or digital publishing landscape.
