Role Overview
The Head of Growth Marketing will be responsible for growing and engaging our core audience personas, converting traffic into actionable data, and developing campaigns that drive both new audience acquisition and customer engagement. This role will oversee all growth-led initiatives, including awards programs, community projects, and high-profile “all-star” campaigns while ensuring a data-driven approach to marketing.
This is a strategic and hands-on role, requiring expertise in B2B publishing, data management, HubSpot, and multi-channel campaign execution. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing, coaching, and growing a high-performing marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Audience Growth & Engagement
- Develop and execute strategies to grow, engage, and convert our core audience personas.
- Manage audience acquisition programs, leveraging content, paid media, and community engagement to drive new subscriptions and database growth.
- Oversee traffic conversion strategies, ensuring website and digital campaigns effectively capture high-quality data.
- Work closely with content teams to optimize audience engagement, leveraging first-party data insights.
Data Management & HubSpot Ownership
- Own HubSpot marketing automation, ensuring best practices for lead generation, data segmentation, and CRM integration.
- Maintain and improve data hygiene, audience segmentation, and tracking, ensuring marketing efforts are powered by high-quality data.
- Use analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, optimize performance, and improve lead conversion rates.
Campaign Execution & Performance
- Lead the execution of growth marketing campaigns, running multiple concurrent initiatives annually to expand Today Digital’s audience and customer base.
- Plan and manage high-profile initiatives, including:
- Industry awards programs
- Community engagement projects
- All-star and influencer-driven campaigns
- Ensure all campaigns are aligned with commercial objectives, driving lead generation and customer engagement.
Leadership & Team Development
- Manage, coach, and support a team of growth-focused marketers, ensuring they have the tools and guidance needed to succeed.
- Develop training and mentoring programs to enhance team performance and skill development.
- Foster a data-driven, results-oriented culture, ensuring clear accountability and performance measurement across all initiatives.
Key Metrics for Success
- Growth in audience size, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Increase in marketing-qualified leads focused on commercial customer personas to drive revenue for the commercial team.
- Improvement in data quality and segmentation for campaign execution.
- Expansion of Today Digital’s total addressable market through structured growth campaigns.
- Successful execution of key initiatives, including awards, community projects, and all-star campaigns.
- Development and retention of a high-performing growth marketing team.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in B2B publishing, digital marketing, or audience development, with a focus on audience growth and engagement.
- Strong expertise in HubSpot, marketing automation, and CRM management.
- Proven experience in growing, segmenting, and managing data for marketing campaigns.
- Track record of converting traffic into actionable data through optimized digital strategies.
- Experience running multi-channel marketing campaigns at scale, managing multiple initiatives annually.
- Ability to lead high-impact initiatives, including awards programs, community projects, and special industry campaigns.
- Strong leadership experience, with a background in managing, coaching, and growing a team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive marketing decisions and optimize performance.
